Call to Worship:

May the love of God be with you all,

            And also with you.

Welcome, welcome, one and all.

Welcome to a community of searchers, wanderers,

and fellow travellers on a journey.

But what if I don’t feel worthy?

All have blessing to share, all are beautiful in the

            eyes of God.

But what if I have doubts?

What is doubt, but an opportunity to learn? Come learn           with the rest of us. Adding questions, and seeking    answers within the security of this community of faith.

*Hymn: VU#703        “In the Bulb There is a Flower”

Opening Prayer:

God of compassion, we come with questions as well as words of praise. We come with doubts as well as certainties. We thank you that you open your doors to all who are willing to enter – not just the richest, smartest or most powerful, but all people: people like the disciples of long ago; fishers who fish for humanity, farmers who sew grace, leaders who follow and followers who lead. We thank you for the opportunity to search, question, and doubt, as well as for the sometimes surprising answers we find.

We pray to you who is our mother and our father who art in heaven hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil; for thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen.
