Call to Worship:

May the love of God be with you all,

            And also with you.

Our lenten journey has almost ended

            The cross has come into view.

We enter into worship knowing that there are challenges ahead,

            But we face those challenges with faith – faith that      Jesus walks with us.

We enter into worship knowing that there may be hardship,

            But we have faith that hard times are a reminder of    the Easter miracle – there is new life waiting.

*Hymn: VU#108 “Throughout These Lenten Days & Nights”

Opening Prayer and Lord’s Prayer (from Voices United 110):

God of love,

As in Jesus Christ you gave yourself to us,

So may we give ourselves to you,

Living according to your holy will.

Keep our feet firmly in the way where Christ leads us;

Help our lips speak the truth that Christ teaches us;

Fill our bodies with the life that is Christ within us.

In his holy name,

We pray to you who is our mother and our father who art in heaven hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil; for thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen.
