Call to Worship:

May the love of God be with you all,

            And also with you.

Come and enter worship, something’s about to happen;

            The world is about to be transformed!

God’s wisdom will be known;

            Wisdom that is different from anything we’ve known.

The poor shall be rich,

            The least shall be greatest,

The outcast are befriended,

            And all shall know God!

*Hymn:   MV#23     “Come, O Holy Spirit”

Opening Prayer:

Loving God, spirit of transformation, we open ourselves to you as we worship.  We open our hearts to your love; we open our minds to new ways of thinking; we open our lives to other people with their own message of your grace.  May our words convey wisdom, our songs joy, and may your voice be heard in our holy silence.

We pray to you who is our mother and our father who art in heaven hallowed be thy name.  Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil; for thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen.
