Call to Worship:

May the love of God be with you all,

            And also with you.

This is the day, it’s a one of a kind, a once in a lifetime opportunity!

This day will never come again, so we are ready to   embrace what it has to offer.

On this day, Jesus is speaking to us!

A message of love for God and neighbour, a   message of God’s grace!

This is it, are you ready?

Our hearts and minds are open, our ears are ready to           hear, our voices will sing praise and thanksgiving!

*Hymn:   VU#371      “Open My Eyes”

Opening Prayer:

Holy One, into this gathering, we bring ourselves. We bring the thankful, joyous moments of our lives and in return, offer our thanks. We gather with our worries and pain, seeking the comfort of your grace, embodied in these people. We gather to offer ourselves, our time, and our talents, ready to help build the realm Jesus promised. We gather with our curiosity and need for spiritual nurture; we therefore offer our ears and hearts to your still speaking voice.

We pray to you who is our mother and our father who art in heaven hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil; for thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen.
