Call to Worship:

May the love of God be with you all,

            And also with you.

May the love of God be with you all.

            And also with you.

The winds of God flow over the earth,

Spirit touching every rock, mountain, tree, and sea.

God’s creative energy brings life,

Every creature that swims, flies, slithers, crawls, or        walks, is a part of God’s craft

The winds of God blow through our souls

Causing hardened hearts to love,  Opening closed   minds to see new possibility, Turning stranger into friend, And calling all to participate in what God is    doing!

*Hymn: VU# 625      “I Feel the Winds of God Today”

Opening Prayer:

Gracious God, we come together as people of your spirit. We are different in personality, in background, in age, and in status, but we worship as one. We have different needs, different fears, and different hopes, but we know that you are here for us. We are aware of crying injustice, unequal wealth, and loneliness, but we are determined to be your workers for good. We are different in faith, in church background, in spiritual gift, but we find inspiration in Jesus, the Holy One who taught us to pray to pray to you who is our mother and our father who art in heaven hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil; for thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen.

Welcome of New Members

Siblings with Christ,

Let us celebrate God’s gift of grace

given to us in the sacrament of baptism.

There is one body

and one spirit;

we have one hope in the Way of Christ

There is one family of God:

all humanity called to transformation.

Out of the water of baptism

we rise with new life,

forgiven, renewed, and one with Christ,

members of Christ’s body.
