Call to Worship (adapted from Psalm 148)

May the love of God be with you all,

            And also with you.

Come, let us praise God from the earth while angels praise from heaven

Let the sun and moon and the stars praise God. May             the praises sing out from all the universe!

Let us all sing out for it was by God’s command that we were created.

God alone is forever, God alone knows the bounds of          the universe.

May the praises sing out from the depths of the ocean, all creatures of the water, land and air.

It is God who rules all the earth and everything that    calls it home.

*Hymn: VU# 409    “Morning Has Broken”

Opening Prayer:

Loving God, we come to this place today to be reminded that we are yours. You have created us and our world and so through you, we and all creation are good. We wish to sing songs of praise, prayers of longings and hold thoughts of new life. With faith, we know that you are with us as we worship as well as every other moment of our lives.

We pray to you who is our mother and our father who art in heaven hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil; for thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen.
