Call to Worship:

May the love of God be with you all,

            And also with you.

Come all you people of God,

            Come and worship the God of all creation!

Young and old, rich and poor,

            We are all the children of God!

Come with open hearts and minds, ready to hear

the still speaking voice of God

            We are ready to be surprised by God’s wisdom

            and grace

Come, for we have all been called to take part in all that God is doing;

            Honouring the generations of the past, building a world        of justice for generations to come, and celebrating that           God is hear, in this place, at this time!

*Hymn: MV# 30       “It’s A Song of Praise to the Maker”

Opening Prayer:

Holy God, you are without beginning or ending. We celebrate that you are beyond definition or understanding. We celebrate that you are always more: more loving, more redeeming, more infused with creative energy. We celebrate that in your image, you have made your people hard to define – a rich spectrum of gifts, ways to love, self- expression, and ways to worship you. Inspire us to keep our minds and hearts open to your surprise, the new thing you are doing, the new earth you’re creating and how we are called to participate.

We pray to you who is our mother and our father who art in heaven hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil; for thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen.
