Call to Worship:

May the love of God be with you all,

            And also with you.

Come, join with all people of every time and place;

            We join with all creation in singing praises to God.

And by who’s authority do you gather in this temple?

            It is by God’s authority and Jesus’ instruction that we    gather in community.

Then let us celebrate with song and prayer that God brings us together.

            We are one people, a part of one creation. May            our songs join the worldwide chorus!

*Hymn: VU# 315    “Holy, Holy, Holy

Opening Prayer:

Holy God, we enter into worship to be a part of something bigger than ourselves, a movement of faithful people who wish for more: more peace, more justice, more love, more wisdom, and a more intimate relationship with you, our God. Hear our prayers as we also turn our ears to you, our one authority, our one God….

We pray to you who is our mother and our father who art in heaven hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil; for thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen.

Time with God’s Children

Service at the Table

Passing of the Peace

Great thanksgiving:

God be with you.

            And also with you.

Lift up our hearts.

            We lift our hearts in prayer.

Let us give thanks to God.

            It is good to give God thanks and praise.

Loving God, source of all, we long for your reign. We have received the promise, that the paradise Jesus taught, is possible and we give you thanks. We hold the promise that Christ is alive and working through the hands of those who follow his Way, and we give you thanks. We have received the instruction and wisdom we need, we are assured forgiveness when we fail, and encouragement to try again, we strive for faith that is sufficient for the path Jesus offers us, and we give you thanks.

            Holy, holy holy God, power of life and love!

            Heaven and earth are full of your glory!

            Hosanna through the ages! Blest is the one who             comes to bring justice to your earth!

*Hymn: “All Through My Life I’ve Searched For You’

(Tune from 625 I Feel The Winds Of God Today)

All through my life I’ve searched for you,

My God of mystery,

I’ve longed to find your graceful touch,

And know you’re still with me.

I climbed the highest hill and then,

Looked out o’r land and sea.

Yet, in my search, the truth I found:

With you is where I must be.

The warm feel of your gracious touch,

My hand reached out to find.

The wisdom of your calling voice,

If heard, I’d serve human kind.

The mystery of your love for me,

Is the reason my heart will beat.

The warm hold of your creative power,

Would allow me to be complete.

As I searched throughout my days and nights,

I could not find the prize I sought;

How can I answer my calling God,

If the answer would not be caught.

I felt adrift, my anger grew,

I felt that I’d surely fail;

When I looked to see your beautiful face

All I saw was a clouded veil.

I was poor in spirit, I did not know,

Which direction I should turn.

Then I found the truth, the great reward;

Of my God I could finally learn.

I looked within my aching soul,

My desire was so strong;

I needn’t search over land and sea,

You were with me all along!
