Call to Worship:

May the love of God be with you all,

            And also with you.

Come, the path is laid before us;

            It is a path to peace, it is a path to justice, it is a path to God!

We are all called to walk this path,

            Some may walk slowly, some may need an arm of    assistance, but we must all walk together.

Jesus himself is our guide;

            As long as we are willing to follow, Jesus will take us past danger and distraction to the place that God has             promised. Come, let us journey together!

*Hymn: VU#345      “Come, Children Join to Sing”

Opening Prayer:

God of creation and new creation, we come to you as individuals who need respite and inspiration in our lives. We come to you as a worshipping community, learning, laughing, and praying together. We also come to you as members of the world wide church of Christ, ready to raise our hands and voices in support of the work you are doing. Take our worship as a sign that we long to trust you, love you, and follow you!…

We pray to you who is our mother and our father who art in heaven hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil; for thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen.
